 Based on the Object of Rotary, the Four Avenues of Service are
Rotary's philosophical cornerstone and the foundation on which club
activities is based:
Club Service:
This Committee supervises and coordinates the activities of the
Classification, Membership, Program, Fellowship and Rotary
Information Committees and such other Committees as maybe formed to
develop efficiency. Club Service focuses on strengthening fellowship
and ensuring the effective functioning of the club.
Vocational Service:
This Committee devises and carries into effect plans to increase
the interest of Club Members in their callings and to improve
standards of business practice and create a more intimate,
sympathetic and helpful relationship in their respective vocations.
Vocational Services encourage Rotarians to serve others through
their vocations and to practice high ethical standards.
Community Service: This Committee devises and carries into effect plans to awaken each
member to a keener appreciation of his or her obligation to society,
a more constructive interest in community betterment and a greater
readiness to cooperate in every effort for the common good.
Community Services covers the projects and activities the club
undertakes to improve life in its community.
International Service: This Committee seeks to promote understanding and the spirit of
friendliness, tolerance and cooperation among all peoples and thus
develop the world-mindedness which is vital in creating universal
good will. International Service encompasses actions taken to expand
Rotary's humanitarian reach around the globe and to promote world
understanding and peace. |
